This Privacy Policy explains how information about you is collected, used and disclosed by this website. This Privacy Policy applies to the information I collect when you use my services or when you interact with me.
Who am I
Piccolo Mondo Italiano is a private website offering Italian language classes and digital products, owned and managed by Linda Riolo. All requests or further information regarding this GDPR policy can be made direct to her by email to linda@piccolomondoitaliano.com.
What information do I hold?
I collect the information you provide me via the contact form and newsletter subscription. Payments for services are collected through external platforms (Podia, Acuity Scheduling, Paypal, Stripe).
Contact form: Your email address and any message from you is stored on gmail.com. Gmail is a service offered by Google, a company that operates in the US and Europe. Please refer to Google for their Privacy Policy.
Newsletter subscription: if you subscribe to my newsletter you are redirected to Mailerlite. By leaving your name and email address and accepting the privacy policy, you’ll be signed up to my newsletter. This means you will get a bi-weekly or monthly email to inform you of news and services. You may unsubscribe at any time, just request to be removed from the list or via the unsubscribe link at the end of any newsletter.
Your email address and name are stored on Mailerlite servers. Mailerlite operates in the Europe. Please refer to Mailerlite for their privacy policy.
Payment of services via Paypal / Stripe: no payments are collected directly on this website. If you purchase one of my services, you will be redirected to an external service. Payment for classes or packages are collected on Acuity Scheduling via Paypal or credit card. Payment for digital products are collected on Podia via Paypal or Stripe. I will use your name and email address to contact you and plan a class together. Your purchasing data are stored on Paypal and Stripe, companies that operate in the US. Please refer to Paypal for their privacy policy.
I will use your name, surname, and address to create a receipt and comply with Italian law and taxation. Invoices and receipts with your data will be securely stored on Fiscozen.it and shared with my accountant from Fiscozen Srl for fiscal purposes.
I will never share your information with any third party (unless required for legal process) without getting your explicit consent.
Comments on the blog: if you leave a comment on the blog, your name and email address will be stored on piccolomondoitaliano.com.
Use of data
I use the information I collect to plan and do Italian language classes online and to deliver information, products and services you request. I also use your data to process payments and send you invoices and receipts via Gmail.
To whom I disclose information
I never share your information with third parties.
However, for a fiscal reason and to comply with Italian fiscal law, Fiscozen.it has access to the payments I collect and may see the data stored there. This applies just if I receive a payment from you and it doesn’t if you just send me a message or join the newsletter.
What are cookies?

The site does not use cookies to transmit personal information, nor does it use any kind of persistent cookies (user tracking systems).

You may change your mind about the permission you have given to hold your information at any time or if you believe that any information we hold is incorrect, please email me at linda@piccolomondoitaliano.com as soon as possible.
You may decline to share certain personal data with me. In that case, I might not be able to deliver my service.
How is your information stored and how long for?
I only retain the data collected from a student or user as long as needed to plan Italian classes or deliver my newsletter services. If a student stops having classes his/her data will be deleted after one year.
I maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your data against accidental or unlawful destruction or alteration of the data in my possession. This includes, for example, firewalls, password protection, and other access and authentication controls.
If I learn of a security systems breach, I will inform you and the authorities of the occurrence of the breach in accordance with applicable law.
